Listen. I love carbs. They are so near and dear to my heart. Fries, fruit, crackers, chips, breads, potatoes, pizza…these are a few of my favorite things. So a few weeks ago I started looking for ways to cut down a little on my carbs and ran across quiet a few different recipes I wanted to try out. Yall seem to have already fallen in love with them but I thought I would officially share them here with you guys, not just on intagram! So they are both Peanut Butter Chocholate Chip Banana Bread but, as you can see, they have completely different textures.
I totally failed at taking pics of the first one (on the left) I made, this is the only one I have. Both recipes were super easy and honestly, both were really good.
Insta-Famous PB Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 TBSP agave (or honey)
- 1 cup of peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Mix all ingredients together, pour into greased loaf pan and top with a few extra chocolate chips. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes, until set in the middle.
Now on to the second! This recipe came from another blog called The BakerMama. She’s got a great blog and you should totally go check it out! You might recognize it from when I referenced her blog for her “how to” on the charcuterie board.
The BakerMama’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 4 bananas
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Add first three ingredients to blender and blend until oats are ground. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate chips then pour into a greased loaf pan. Top with remaining chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes, until knife comes out clean from center.
